About Mediazone

Mediazone was created in 1997 with the name TV and Radio Unit. It provided state of the art facilities, equipment and support to students of the Communication, Multimedia and Design Departments. All practical courses utilizing the facilities & equipment were organized each semester and all equipment loaning to students was done through the Unit.

As the desire to introduce a greater number of practical courses grew, so did the evolution of the Unit. In the fall of 2007, although the name changed from TV and Radio Unit to Mediazone, the core function of the Unit remained the same.

Mediazone continues to provide the organization & infrastructure; the facilities and equipment to the Communications department practical courses – serving the needs of the department and the University in this manner. Mediazone supports students in their endeavour to complete degrees in the Communications program.

All equipment is industry standard and is constantly upgraded to meet the demands of the Communications field Broadcast industry. Our Avid lab alone is a state of the art facility, the largest in the Mediterranean basin.
